My research is now coming on nicely for my presentation, I have a structure of what I want to research, and I have an aim and an objective which is a good backbone for what I want to explore! - I have found some controversial material which could be of good use.

~ Survey ( November 14 2008 ) ~

I have been passing around a survey, to gather views on Houdini and Blaine. Please write a comment if you have anything to say about the two performers.

Does David Blaine pick up from where Houdini left off?
Why do we still go and see David Blaine perform his stunts?
Are we still amazed? - What feelings do you have when you watch them on TV or live?
Do you feel the reactions to Blaine in the UK are different than the USA?
Is it trickery, or are they both really putting their lives at risk?
Do you think they are driven by money in order to perform?
Which country are you from?

~ Advancing Magic ( November 11 2008 ) ~

I have been recommended some books which are not related to magic, but are great for advancing it. I shall be looking in the libraries for these:

Harry Lorayne - How to Develop a Super-power Memory
Rudolf Arnheim - Film as Art

If you know any other good books which could be of good use for magic, please let me know!
